Jolie Merriweather
Jolie Merriweather is a University of Missouri School of Journalism student with an emphasis on strategic communications, originally from Bloomington, Illinois. She discovered her passion for journalism and strategic communications during a high school athletic communications internship at Illinois State University, where she first experienced the power of storytelling in shaping how audiences connect with organizations.
This experience led her to Mizzou, where she has continued to develop her skills in graphic design, content creation, brand strategy, and client-focused communication. As an active member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), Jolie has contributed to client-focused projects and collaborative campaigns, further strengthening her ability to think creatively and strategically with meaningful outcomes.
Jolie is driven by a desire to create thoughtful, audience-centered communication that drives impact and change. She is especially interested in helping organizations build strong brand identities and connect with their audiences in thoughtful and effective ways.
Jolie is actively involved in PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America), working on the Mission Driven Tech team in graphic design and content creation. Outside of her work, she enjoys exploring creative projects, spending time outdoors, and going on walks to recharge and find inspiration.
She is currently working remotely from Columbia, Missouri, while attending the University of Missouri, where she continues to expand her knowledge and experience in strategic consulting and communications.
