WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP IN ACTION
At Mazur & Co., we’re fortunate to work alongside organizations that are expanding opportunities for women across the country – from leadership initiatives like the Greater Missouri Leadership Foundation to multi-state efforts advancing women’s economic empowerment led by partners like United WE.
Last week, I had the privilege of spending several days with the Greater Missouri Leadership Challenge Class of 2026 during the program’s first session in Columbia and Jefferson City.
Mazur & Co. supports the work of the Greater Missouri Leadership Foundation, partnering with Executive Director Katie Steele Danner to help bring this statewide leadership experience to life. Over the course of the week, participants explored Missouri’s leadership landscape – from visits at the State Capitol to conversations with leaders across healthcare, education, and public service.
One highlight for me was the strengths-based leadership sessions led by Dr. Leigh Anne Taylor Knight of The DeBruce Foundation and Carrie Collier of the University of Missouri Career Center, who taught participants to apply their strengths in both their personal and professional lives.
And, what better time to kick off Session I than during Women’s History Month?! The conversations throughout the week reinforced something powerful: the future of leadership in Missouri will be shaped by leaders who are committed not just to leading – but to lifting others along the way.
I share a few reflections from the week in our latest blog post. Check it out here.

UNITED WE IN D.C.
Spotted in DC this month: United WE President & CEO Wendy Doyle addressing the National League of Cities Women in Municipal Government Luncheon. Wendy talked about their work to break down barriers to women’s civic and economic leadership – and opportunities for cities to continue leading the way.
“Local leadership is the engine of pragmatic economic change for women – where practical, bipartisan solutions to women’s workforce barriers take root and scale,” Wendy said. We agree!
NEURODIVERISTY CELEBRATION WEEK
This week is Neurodiversity Celebration Week, a reminder that different ways of thinking strengthen our teams. Neurodivergent colleagues often bring creativity, strong problem-solving, and attention to detail, but may find some tasks or environments more challenging than others. Some simple ways to support inclusive collaboration:
- Start meetings with a clear agenda
- Follow up with notes or action items.
- Give teammates time to ideate and respond after meetings, as some people can process information better in writing.
These can reduce ambiguity, clarify priorities, and lower stress. Small adjustments can help everyone do their best work!
