Ryan Hobart | Senior Associate

Ryan Hobart is a seasoned strategic communications and public affairs professional with two decades of experience helping organizations communicate with clarity, build trust, and navigate complex public issues. His background spans government, healthcare, campaigns, and public administration, giving him a broad perspective on how communications, operations, and stakeholder engagement work together to advance organizational goals.

At Mazur & Co., Ryan supports clients with strategic communications, public affairs, operational initiatives, executive communications, media relations, messaging, content development, and project management. He is known for bringing thoughtful strategy, exceptional organization, and a calm, collaborative approach to complex projects.

Prior to joining Mazur & Co., Ryan served for nearly a decade as Communications Manager for the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan, where he led integrated communications efforts serving more than 100,000 members. He also supported government relations, legislative monitoring, brand management, member education, and executive communications.

Previously, Ryan served as Communications Director for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, where he led an eight-person public information office and served as the department’s chief media spokesperson. Earlier in his career, he held senior communications roles with the Missouri Secretary of State’s Office, the Missouri Democratic Party, and a nationally targeted congressional campaign, building extensive experience in crisis communications, strategic messaging, media relations, speechwriting, and public affairs.

Ryan earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Westminster College and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Affairs at the University of Missouri (Mizzou). He lives in Columbia, MO, with his partner and their two children. Outside of work, Ryan is an active musician and accomplished drummer in Columbia’s vibrant music community, where he has performed with a variety of bands and recording projects over the years.
