The Fourth, the Feedback, & the Future of Mazur & Co.

The drinks were cold, the sun was hot, and our backyard was buzzing with more than 120 guests for my family’s 23rd annual Fourth of July party. Family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and clients – all together in one space. Somewhere between the Budweisers and the backyard banter, it hit me: this party reflects the story of Mazur & Co. just as much as any pitch deck or client report ever could.

Because what we do isn’t just strategic communications, organizational support, or public affairs. We build relationships. Like the Fourth of July party, we work hard to connect a diverse group of good people with each other – and with good causes. From Washington, D.C., to Oklahoma, and across the U.S., we’re known to create order – and sometimes even celebration – in the midst of complexity (or, dare I say, chaos?!).

This July also marks six months since I became sole owner of Mazur & Co., and we stepped fully into our new name and identity. The rebrand was more than a fresh coat of paint on a solid foundation – it was a recommitment to how we work: with purpose, partnership, and people at the center.

We work at the intersection of people and purpose. We blur the lines between life and leadership, strategy and storytelling, advocacy and execution. And we show up – fully.

Teamwork > Fireworks

In the past six months, I’ve watched our team deliver high-value results and high-touch support. Here’s just a small sampling of the feedback that’s landed in my inbox:

  • “Shout out to Camille… SUCH a great hire.”
  • Channing is fantastic.”
  • “We have so enjoyed working with Rachel—she is truly such an asset!”
  • Jarrett is great—responsive, flexible, and smart.”
  • Rich Lamb… he is absolutely terrific! He knows everyone in the Capitol…”
  • Kelsey is phenomenal.”
  • Chanelle’s leadership with interns is a model for the state.”
  • “We greatly appreciate [Peggy’s] work and long-term commitment.”
  • Jessi is amazing.”

Our team has guided complex transitions, facilitated multi-sector coalitions, elevated brands, launched bold initiatives, and shaped policy conversations. Through all of it, we’ve prioritized clarity, empathy, and excellence.

“What do you do, exactly?”

In the last six months, we’ve also sharpened how we talk about our work. Here’s how we’ve started framing it:

Mazur & Co. is a strategic consulting and communications firm that thrives at the intersection of policy, program, and storytelling. We help organizations communicate, operate, and advocate better – with purpose and precision.

That’s our new elevator pitch – but it’s the relationships, outcomes, and trust behind it that make it real. Please share your feedback – we’d love to know what you think!

Why it Matters

The truth is, most of the work we do doesn’t come with fireworks or clear finish lines. It’s iterative. It’s nuanced. It’s often behind the scenes. So when clients take the time to share feedback like “We couldn’t have done it without Mazur & Co.” or “Thank you for making the magic happen,” it’s more than kind – it’s a sign that we’re doing it right. And it’s something we’ll never take for granted.

So here’s to the first six months in our new season.

To fireworks and feedback.

To a team that turns strategy into stories – and ideas into impact.

And to you – our partners, clients, friends, family, and champions – for walking alongside us, trusting us, and making us stronger.

Let’s keep building.

Onward,
Mindy
