Summer Series: Investing in Emerging Talent | A Conversation with Jarrett Jones
How do organizations identify future leaders before they have years of experience? This question serves as the foundation for our Summer Series on investing in emerging talent. Throughout the series, we’ll explore how mentorship, opportunity, and trust help shape the next generation of professionals. Written from the perspectives of Mazur & Co. interns, the series features conversations with leaders whose careers were influenced by those experiences and examines why investing in talent early continues to matter.
As a student entering the workforce, I’ve found myself wondering how organizations can continue to identify and develop emerging talent as technology becomes more integrated into hiring and day-to-day work.
In the first installment, “Investing in Emerging Talent: A Conversation with Jarrett Jones,” I explore Jarrett’s journey from fellowship to leadership at Mazur & Co. and how it shaped his perspective on mentorship, hiring, and professional growth. His story highlights the importance of recognizing potential beyond a résumé and creating opportunities that help future leaders grow.
Read more to learn why investing in people remains one of the most important decisions organizations can make – and how early opportunities can create lasting impact for both individuals and organizations.
